According to TorrentFreak, torrent client uTorrent’s company BitTorrent is reportedly being purchased by TRON founder Justin Sun.
It is said that both sides have seen the latest details and that the procurement agreement will be signed very soon. With a multi-billion dollar value, TRON aims to make the internet decentralized, partly supported by BitTorrent.
The BitTorrent company, founded by Bram Cohen , is known for its torrent client uTorrent, which has over 100 million users. The company also has another widely used torrent client called BitTorrent.
Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, it was revealed that the company was quietly changed to Rainberry last year. The company reports that the name change is an entirely corporate decision, but it may also be related to the company’s acquisition plans.
It is obvious that BitTorrent will fit the goal of making TRON internet-centric.
On the other hand, TRON keeps counting down for main network opening. The platform will be moved to Ethereum ‘s own block chain on May 31st . In addition, Justin Sun has made an ambitious statement in recent days, suggesting that in 2018, he will reclaim the 6th place in the biggest crypto money.
